2007 - Rosfeld

Rosfeld is the name of a small German village on the Rhine. It’s biggest problem to date has been that it was always playing second fiddle to it’s neighboring community Bisingen who is a lot better at football, produces better livestock and has a real country fair. The minority complex of Rosfeld is blown away when an alien spacecraft visits the village. . . Rosfeld is henning’s thesis movie at the KHM filmschool. After finishing postproduction it will premier in fall 2007.

Deus in Machina: A satirical Science-Fiction short with ambitious imagery. In a world that is a bleak, cold and spotless as it’s uniform design, there is no room for a dreamer like Lutz. Driven by desperation and making use of his wit and imagination he seeks a way out of the wolrd he is not cut out for. D-I-M is the most elaborate (and costly) film of the Rickebros. After a year of production and 20 month of postproduction it is now successfully touring the filmfestivals of the world.

This 3,5 minutes long pseudo-trailer was made in 2003 befor the release of Matrix Reloaded. In a satirical way it muses about how Matrix 1 could be continued. The film became an instant internet-phenomenon. Within very few days several million users from all over the world had downloaded it, a year later we lost the count at aprox. 15 million. Even today traffic on the webpage is high and Matrix XP one of the most successful web-videos to date.

A serious issue… a funny film. The omnipresent surveillance snakes it’s way into more and more private areas of everyday life. Busted was Henning’s first seminar-film in school. He realized it together with Benjamin Stöß.

A short film about chance, fate and the danger of not smoking. This film was Henning’s successful application for the Kunsthochschule für Medien Cologne. Ever since it has provoked laughter at several festivals over the years.

MI:2, Mission Insufficient 2
This trailer-spoof came spontaneously into being during a cross country trip in the US in 2000. It is the first Rickebros film that makes heavy use of computer-generated imagery.
